Join WIIIN members on April 8th for our virtual Kick-Off of the 2024 Mentorship Program. This session will be the first in a 3-part series organized around helping us bring our best selves to our mentor and mentee relationships. This program will be hosted by Josh Diosomito, Assistant Vice President of Talent Development of Capital Group, who has spent 20 years in various leadership development roles where he has specialized in building successful mentorship programs. Josh will guide us through topics such as:

    • The importance of identity and personal brand
    • Navigating career challenges through mentorship conversations
    • How to find common ground as we establish relationships with a diverse range of people

For all sessions, we welcome our 2024 class of mentors and mentees as well as any other members looking to improve their mentorship skills at work, home or in the community.

If you have further questions, please contact info@wiiin.org or by calling 424-688-5510.

WIIIN is thrilled to partner with Junior Achievement Southern California on a personal finance mentorship day for 12th grade students from LAUSD’s GALA (Girls Academic Leadership Academy, an all-girls school in the LAUSD school system focused on STEM).  This event promises not only to enlighten students about the realms of budgeting but also to offer an unparalleled opportunity for volunteers to make a lasting impact on the futures of these young women.

As a volunteer with JA Finance Park, you will help students navigate the world of personal finances as they assume the role of an "adult for the day." At JA Finance Park, students are given a unique life profile (job, income, marital status, etc.) after answering a series of future lifestyle questions. Using this new adult persona, students work to create a balanced monthly budget while making decisions regarding housing, transportation, insurance, savings, entertainment expenses and much more.

Volunteers are needed to mentor small groups of students throughout their day at JA Finance Park. No special budgeting expertise is necessary as volunteers will be provided with comprehensive training to prepare for this impactful role.

Date: Thursday, April 25th from 7:45am – 2:15pm PDT (lunch will be provided)

Note: We will need all volunteers to arrive at 7:45am for training and stay until 2:15pm PDT to send off the students and assist in resetting the space.

Location: JA SoCal Campus (6250 Forest Lawn Dr. Los Angeles, CA 90068)

    *Free parking on-site*

Ready to Make a Difference? Register by Wednesday, April 10th!

To RSVP, please email Alexandra Brunelli: info@wiiin.org and Stephanie Neruda: stephanie.neruda@gmail. Please include your phone number, firm, and whether this will be your first time volunteering with Junior Achievement SoCal.

Attendance will be limited to the first 30 volunteers. A waitlist will be created once that cap is met.

We're looking forward to an inspiring event with your support!
