Please join us for a candid fireside chat with Roz Hewsenian, CIO of the Helmsley Charitable Trust, and Leah Emkin, WIIIN Board member and Head of Client Solutions at Wilshire. Roz will discuss her career journey in the financial services industry, along with lessons learned across the different phases of her career which have included roles as investment consultant at Wilshire, CEO of Clay Finlay, and CIO of the Helmsley Charitable Trust. The conversation will take place via Zoom and will be followed by a Q&A session with the audience.

About Roz Hewsenian

Roz Hewsenian serves as the Helmsley Charitable Trust’s Chief Investment Officer. In this position, she is responsible for the strategic direction of the Trust’s investment program and its implementation. She joined Helmsley in 2010 as the Deputy Chief Investment Officer.

Prior to joining Helmsley, Roz was the Chief Executive Officer of Clay Finlay, LLC, a global equity firm with offices in New York, London and Hong Kong. Roz has spent the majority of her career at Wilshire Associates in Santa Monica, CA, as senior investment consultant serving governmental pension funds. She was the lead investment consultant to the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS). She also served on Wilshire’s Board of Directors and was an equity principal of the firm. Previously, Roz worked for money management firm, Dimensional Fund Advisors, and served as the Manager of Pensions and Investments at PepsiCo, Inc.

Roz received a Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York at Oneonta and an M.B.A. from Pace University.

About Leah Emkin

Leah Emkin is responsible for overseeing client-facing activities across Wilshire’s diverse client base. She is a member of Wilshire’s Executive Committee, Wilshire’s Investment Committee, and was a co-founder of Wilshire’s Gender Diversity Awareness Committee.

Leah joined Wilshire in 2008. She holds an MA and MBA from Claremont Graduate University and a BA from Lewis & Clark College. Leah is a board member of the Women in Institutional Investments Network (WIIIN).
